Registered Tax Return Preparer Competency Examination Prep Course
In August and September of 2011, Back to Basics Income Tax Seminars® will be holding a Prep Course for Unenrolled Tax Return Preparers.
This tax preparation competency course will take place in cities in Arizona (Phoenix) and Wisconsin (Green Bay, Madison, Broofield (Milwaukee) and Wausau, WI).

The tax prep course is designed to prepare you to take the IRS Registered Tax Return Preparer Competency examination.
The course is for those who prepare federal income tax returns consisting of both business and non-business form 1040 items.
You will learn how to complete the typical form 1040 including Schedules A, B, C-EZ and D. In addition you will also learn how to handle items such as business income, home office expenses, transportation and other business expense.
This course is also a great refresher for tax professionals who are "properly supervised" "non-signing preparers" (thus exempt from competency testing), or for administrative staff who need to learn more about income taxes and what it takes to become a tax preparer.
