The Original Back to Basics Income Tax Seminars®
BTB Income Tax Seminars® ("BTB") provides tax seminars and workshops for all levels of tax and accounting professionals throughout the United States, including Arizona, Texas and Wisconsin. Stay up to date while getting your continuing education credits at one of our Workshops or Seminars held July through December of each year.
Don't let the name fool you! BTB was named 31 years ago when most tax seminars were high-priced affairs held in extravagant locations with fancy lunches. The idea of BTB's founder (tax seminar pioneer Michael Barnes), was to provide high-level knowledge and top review for less cost to you - a true no-nonsense approach to continuing education. Due to top quality text, outstanding speakers and detailed analysis that you cannot find elsewhere, the program has remained intact. Our seminars and workshops are packed with completed forms, real-world examples and relevant court cases - attendees walk away satisfied and smarter - at a low cost.
2010 Seminar Calendar is Coming Soon - Our Newsletter will Notify You!
Sign up here for the Free BTB Tax Update Newsletter, which will inform you of the dates and locations of our seminars and workshops, as well as important tax tips and resources, such as the new Worker, Homeownership & Business Assistance Act of 2009 - click here for a PDf version of the new law.
Who attends our seminars? Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Tax Practitioners, Accountants, Enrolled Agents (EA), Certified Financial Planners (CFP), and Attorneys. Read what they have to say about our programs: Customer Reviews.
The Summer Small Business Tax Workshops are packed with updated material, tax planning strategies, and insight related to opportunities and pitfalls - all specifically geared towards small business consultants! Most topics include completed forms with examples, and real world situations are always discussed.
The Fall Income Tax Seminars provide an analysis of up-to-date tax laws and key provisions of tax legislation passed by congress during the year. For example, in 2009 (among many other things) we discussed the Worker, Homeownership & Business Assistant Act of 2009, changes to Form 1040X, and New York State Tax Preparer Regulations. In 2008 we analyzed the Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2007, the Mortgage Forgiveness Relief Act of 2007, and the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008.
More about what we have discussed during past seminars and workshops can be found in the website pages: Newsletter Archives, Summer Workshops, Fall Tax Seminars, BTB Program Brochures, and our Tax Course Books.
Our practical look at the new legislation and regulations enacted during each year focuses on how the provisions of the Acts will impact tax returns for your clients. Plus, our textbooks serve as excellent references during tax season. You can also purchase BTB Tax Software and even learn about how to become a BTB presenter.
